Hi,
I've rolled my own perl component for resizing pictures on the fly, but I
have a problem with actually outputting the resized image.
Here's my code:
Dim res
Response.Buffer = true
Set res = Server.CreateObject("ResCom.Resizer")

Hello World,
Under Windows 2003 Server. IIS6.
The following code working fine for small files, and for files with size
about few megabytes.
If I am trying to send HUGE file -- about 700 Megabyte -- w3wp.exe eat all
memory (I have 1024 megabytes) and all CPU time without positive result.

My application generates images dynamic. These images are
then used for an image button like in the beneath.
Dim ob As Bitmap = New Bitmap(130, 30)
Dim banner As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(ob)
Dim tempfilepath As String = System.IO.Path.GetTempPath
ob.Save(tempfilepath & "temp.jpg",
Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg)

I want to serve a PDF right to a web page (cannot link browser directly
to PDF file). Stumbled across Response.WriteFile this morning. On my
machine (XP Pro) this worked fine:
private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
string filePath = "c:\\somepath\\some.pdf";
Response.ContentType = "Application/pdf";
Response.WriteFile(filePath);
}

Hi. I have a WebService which provides a webmethod which returns a byte
array representing a picture. The method's signature is:
<WebMethod(Description:="Shows something nice every time !")> Public
Function GetRandomImage() As Byte()
I then have a test application (with a web reference to my web service)
which has the following code:
Public Class BinaryWebServiceTest

FileStream fs = File.Open(filePath + fileName,FileMode.Open);

Hi,
I really need you help because I'm not very familliar with ASP and I
could not find any solution to my problem.
To put you in situation, I have a CGI to which I send a file name, and
that script return me that file. But for security reason, I don't want
to publish the address of this CGI, so I encapsulated it in an ASP
file. This way, only this ASP file knows where the CGI is.

Hi gang,
Have a script that works fine. However, it's really cpu intensive and
I'm looking for suggestions on a) whether or not that's normal and if
so b)a better way of doing it.
Script is very simple, there is a folder of files with numeric names.
The real file name is stored in the database. User clicks on link that
executes script and provides database record id. Record is looked up,
file name is found, and browser is delivered...

I am trying to secure filedownload via streaming to protect files on
the server. This works very well but when I open the file in a notepad
editor it shows always HTML code at the end of the file.
Since the code runs in a aspx file, the added HTML Code always
streamed at the end.
What do I have to do so the files are stored without the HTML tags on
the client machine?

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
