How to Calculate opening balance in all ledger accounts

2 2Bits
Dear all,
I am unable to calculate running Dsum of opening balance of ledger accounts (above 200 ledgers)
=Nz(DSum("[Debit]-[Credit]","qry_OpeningBalance"),0)
this works very well only for single ledger account, but not working for all ledger accounts in report, for example, i want to see ledgers of 2 accounts i.e Capital and Assets

1-Capital
Opening balance Rs10000
01-01-2021 DR 1000 Rs.11,000
20-01-2021 CR 2000 Rs.9,000

2-Assets
Opening balance Rs-15,000
01-01-2021 CR -1000 Rs.-16,000
20-01-2021 DR 2000 Rs.-14,000

Please resolve my query. Thanks

Hi Altaf. Welcome to Bytes.com.

I can see this is a valid question so I've approved it for you. Where I struggle is following what it means. The explanation leaves me with almost nothing to work from. What do you store? Where? Data layout & structure? Does DR & CR equate to + & - (If so then why not use what's there instead of using an unnecessary extra layer of confusion?)? Is it even possible for either account (Capital or Assets) to be negative at any point?

Thanks for response.
Dr means Receipts and Cr means Payments i.e,

[b]1-Capital - Ledger Account|[b]
Opening balance Rs10000
01-01-2021 DR Receipt 1000 Total balance Rs.11,000
20-01-2021 CR Payments 2000 Total balance Rs.9,000

2-Assets - Ledger Account
Opening balance Rs-15,000
01-01-2021 CR Payments -1000 Rs.-16,000
20-01-2021 DR Receopts 2000 Rs.-14,000

Opening balance as on 01-01-2021 Rs.100,000-
02-01-2021 Add +Receipts - payments = Running balance

Everything you've explained was the part that was already clear and didn't need further explanation.

If you read my last post again you'll find a number of questions (Marked with ? for ease of understanding.) that you haven't answered. I/we can only help you when the question you're asking is clear and is shared here. What is in your head is not available to us unless you explain it.

Asking a technical question does involve a certain basic amount of work.

I hope my message is clearer now.
