access reports with opening balance please help.

I have a repots like


sn...date.......description...debit...credit...bal ance
1....08/15/16...book.............00.......50.......-50
2....08/17/16...pen..............00.......10.......-60
3....08/20/16...deposit.........100.......00.......+40
4....08/25/16...book.............00.......20.......+20

but when I view repots in between date like 08/17/16 to 08/25/16. it show me

sn...date.......description...debit...credit...bal ance
2....08/17/16...pen..............00.......10.......-10
3....08/20/16...deposit.........100.......00.......+90
4....08/25/16...book.............00.......20.......+70

so I want to show my repot like
.............................opening balance as -50.00
sn...date.......description...debit...credit...bal ance
2....08/17/16...pen..............00.......10.......-60
3....08/20/16...deposit.........100.......00.......+40
4....08/25/16...book.............00.......20.......+20

please help me how cab I do.

Most importantly ... how to generate the OPENING BALANCE ? This really
beats me !

I think we need a little more info to get going here. If I understand correctly, you want the filtered report to display the records (specifically the balance) exactly as it appears in the original (unfiltered) version. In order to understand how to best do this in your case, please tell us how the balance is stored/generated in the first report. Is it a calculated field or something placed in via code that doesn't change after.

Also, is it imperative you have the opening balance listed or is its only purpose to help display the individual records' balances correctly?
