Open specific record on form from query result

P: 2
I've got a simple database in Access 2007 with a form interface. One of the forms contains subforms and uses multiple tables, currently navigation works fine. There's also several complex queries that pull records based on priority and union queries that combine them for reusability. The queries are working fine and can return just the AutoNumber ID of the record required, so I was wondering if there is a simple method to attach a union query to a form event like On Open such that the query result is passed and the record with that ID is pulled up on the form.
