Current open forms

121 New Member
Hi,

Is there a way of finding out what forms are currently open? i am aware of the Isloaded function but I guess you would have to check for every form to know which ones are currently loaded is there a simpler way of getting the name of the forms that are open?

Regards Phill

The code on this page uses IsLoaded, but it does exactly what you want.

The Forms Collection will tell you exactly what Forms are 'Open':
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Dim frm As Form
  2.
  3. For Each frm In Forms
  4.   Debug.Print frm.Name & " is open"
  5. Next

If the Parent Form is Open, couldn't we naturally assume that the corresponding Sub-Form would be Opem also?

Here I've posted a procedure to get reference to any opened form. It could be easily rewritten to enumerate all opened forms instead of getting a particular one.

Fish.
