Subform problem

6 New Member
I have a form that has 4 subforms. 3 of the subforms work fine, but one - companies - does not work like the others and I can't figure out why. There are two field in the subform - ID and name. When you go to the field for company name, the field "expands so that you can't see the ID field. I wondered if it had something to do with anchoring?

I wanted to attach the database but didn't see a way to do that.

Thanks for your help!

Most likely it has something to do with your master and child links. Go to the link dialog and reset the links in the subform that is giving you the problem. If that is not it, you need to provide more info.

To attach items to one of your posts you need to scroll down the page a little when posting (either originally or in an advanced edit screen) to the button that saya Manage Attachments. Pressing on that leads you to a page where you can add or remove your attachments. It also lists the maximum file sizes for each of the allowed file types.

I should add that attaching a database is no substitute for asking the question clearly in the first place. We don't ask much of you when you ask your questions. A properly expressed and meaningful question is a requirement though.

I did look at manage attachments. But it requires me to choose from a list of filetypes, none of which is a .accdb file. Am I supposed to convert my .accdb file to a zip file?

Did I not clearly express my problem in my post?

Since most of folks on the forum still use Access 2000/2003, I would recommend you to convert your database to mdb before you zip it and attach to the thread.
Sure, all sensitive data and possibly all database objects not related to the problem should be removed.

Regards,
Fish.

An ACCDB file should first be compiled, then Compacted, before adding to a ZIP file. The ZIP file is what you would upload.

No.
