That's correct. The backend, consisting of tables, goes on a shared drive. A copy of the front end, with everything else, goes on each user's PC.

Welcome Megdzia,

NeoPa has created a How-to article that can help you with splitting your database.
Front-End / Back-End (FE/BE)

And you may want to peruse this thread afterwards for ideas on distribution.

Thank you guys for your help...
Have just one more question:
Does it mean that each user wiuld have different front end on their pc's???
Front ends are no linked?riight?
My only concern is that we are using forms only...i.e. ~purchase orders and I don't want 3 people to have different po5575....:( hope that makes sense..

It does and it doesn't ;)
It is possible to use a single, network/shared FE database, although there's no real need for that. PO numbers would be handled by the data anyway, so that would be common to all users.

Typically, users have a copy (identical of course) on their own PC. The only complication here is with releasing versions.
