Hi all,
Working on a pretty fancy access report that prints out a schedule of events in a two-column format, I've stumbled across the need for displaying formatted text into a field. Since I'm using Access 2000, it lacks the ability to do this natively, so I was wondering if anyone had a solution.
I've made use of one of the controls of Lebans.com (TextWidthHeight one, rather spiffy), but it seems the RTF display controls there are for forms more than Reports (and I'm hoping to find a non-ActiveX one too). Doesn't look like anything new has been updated there in at least a year (but I admit, I didn't check every single link either).
Pretty much, the report just needs to display the formatted data in a fixed-width/height control (so getting that AutoTextSize ability to work is needed; dunno if it's integratable or not with an RTF display control or Image control). For editing, I plan on constructing a Form to allow tweaking of the data (which itself will be imported from a CSV file generated by our master database system). Formatting, of course, being rather simple...usually just bold and italics support.
Anyone got any ideas on how to approach that, or know if Lebans has updated stuff at another site or something? (Not sure if he still lurks here or not).
Thanks for any tips or info!
