Access 2007 / ADO Provider for Internet Publishing

For several years the ADO Provider for Internet Publishing has been
available in Access for putting files on IIS websites and retrieving them.

Public Sub TestADOInternetPublishingProvider()
Dim c As ADODB.Connection
Set c = New ADODB.Connection
c.Open "Provider=MSDAIPP.DSO;Data Source=url=http://www.ffdba.com/"
End Sub
(I experimented with many different Data Source manifestations.)

But with VISTA/Access 2007 we get:
“Runtime Error 3706
Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.”

A Google search returns a couple of hits, but not pertinent to my
experience.

There do not seem to be any newsgroups devoted to ADO Internet Publishing.

The MS ADO CompChecker is unfamiliar with ADO 6.0 (Vista's).
Changing the reference to ADO 2.8 does not correct the "Provider cannot be
found" problem.
Running similar script with Windows Script returns the same error.

I wrote FTP code to effect the upload so it’s not a huge problem, but,
perhaps, someone has some input on this?
