Stop tables automatically generating a row

28 New Member
Hello,

I have just learnt how to use subforms (in datasheet view) and was wondering if there was a way to prevent Access from automatically generating another row when text is entered into the last cell. Ideally I'd like for it to hold off until the "new" button is pressed.

MS Access 2002.

Thanks!

For this the "Allow additions" property can be set to "No".
(See the subform's data tab of the properties)
With your button you can set this property back to "Yes" when needed.

Clear ?
