I have created a graph in ms access report in need to insert 2 grand total columns and sum them if i do this in design view on the data sheet it shows but if i change it to layout view it does not show the changes how do i refresh so it shows the changes

Grand totals are usually calculated in unbound text boxes in the footer section of a report. This works independently of landscape/portrait view...

I'm not sure about getting them on the graph itself, unless you want to get into PivotTable/PivotChart views (on which I am not an expert at all... )


The chart/graph object is your visual representation. However the method I was thinking of is to include an unbound textbox in the footer of your main report. To do this, enter something like this in your text box:

=DSum("[Quantity]*[UnitPrice]", "Order Details", "[ProductID] = " _
    & [ProductID])

This code will have to be changed to fit the actual data you are working with, but should be what you need in calculating your totals.
