I feel for you! And I'm going to be in the same boat next week (taking a
2007 program into the runtime arena). I suspect that I'm going to have to do
what I did for my Access 97 runtime, and that's to go with the access
runtime scripts from Sagekey.com. I'm going to try the free runtime first,
but I don't have high hopes that I won't have to buy the sagekey scripts.
Mainly due to the problem where, if you open a previous version of access,
then close and open access 2007, you get a very long installing window (not
short like in acc 2000). I don't think my customers, who use previous access
versions, would like that so much, unless they make frequent coffee trips.
I've already tested the sagekey script, and if you open a sagekey acc 97
runtime, then open access 2007, you don't get an installing window, so I
think I may have to leave it up to them. Now, if only Microsoft could buy
Sagekey, and have their scripts be the free download! :)

>I am trying to use the Access 2007 runtime. I have a program that is
fully working in 2007 but when I install the runtime version with same
Operating system and Access 2003 installed I have multiple errors.
One error "Function is not available in table level validation
expression."
This error occurs three times. when I have a two part delete query or
a lookup function that checks for a duplicate entry and a update
query that adds a numeric value to a table. The same error message
appears for all three conditions
There are four other errors for simple functions I use in the 2007
program. Has anyone had similar errors or can anyone point me to a
site that is likely to look into Access 2007 Runtime bugs. Have tried
searching the Microsoft site without success. I cannot believe I am
the only one experiencing these problems.
Any help greatley appreciated
