OutputTo in Excel 2000 Format

53
Hi,

I'm using MS Access 2000. I have a button that does this:

DoCmd.RunMacro "ExportSomeQuery"

the macro uses the OutputTo command to export the query into excel. I want it to export in MS Excel 97-2000 format, but it exports in Microsoft Excel 5.0/7.0. I can't seem to find a way to change this. Can someone help me adjust this?

Thanks in advance,

Raza

ah i figured it out - Using OutputTo reverts back to Microsof Excel 5.0. I also had a problem of it not exporting queries because of too many rows (5.0 only supports around 16k rows). My solution was to just use TransferSpreadsheet to allow the user to just export it to their desktop.
