Access OutputTo Excel Not Linking properly

P: 4
Hello!

I'm having an issue with the OutputTo function of Access. I have a few queries that I export to excel (by way of the OutputTo function) This works fine.

I then take an excel sheet and link some data from these exported sheets with other data from other excel sheets. I can create a link to one of the exported sheets. It will import the information fine, I can manipulate is needed, no issues. However, once I save the excel sheet with all the links and try to open and update the data I get the error 'unable to read data' This only happens with the excel sheets outputted from Access. I don't have this issue with any other excel sheets.

I know this is kind of an Excel issue, but with the problem being only with the Access exported sheets, I thought maybe someone else has had this issue. Any assistance anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try to vary the version of excel parameter on the Output To command?
I've been experiencing trouble using a too old version (thought 3)
