the primary form
through subforms. To be more specific, I have a primary form named
TestResults, which is connected to data in a table named TestResults.

I have a form that take some time to load due to many comboboxes and at
least 8 subforms.
When I filter or sort the main form I get an error message and then Access

Hi,
I've been told in another forum that I can apply a filter to a subform (from
a control on the main form) by using the following code:
Me.sfrMySubform.Filter = " = 7"
I've tried this solution but it isn't working for me. Here's my code:
Private Sub fraShowRows_Click()

Hello,
Does anyone have an idea on how I can filter the data in the gridview
control that was returned by an sql query?
I have a gridview that works fine when I populate it with data. Now I want
to look at that data and filter it based on what is in it.
I know that this could have been done with data sets and data views in
asp.net 1.1...

Hello,
I'm running Access 2003 trying to filter a subform with approximately 15 records per year per the main record contained on the parent form. The filter works fine if the subform is opened independently, and right-clicking on the subform after opening the main form, and choosing filter by selection also works. The problem is getting the...

I have a problem using the form .Filter and .FilterOn properties which
causes Access to crash (as detailed in a separate post). The form operates
in continuous mode, displaying matching records from a file based on a
search criterion. This basic functionality works just fine.
I decided to allow the user to narrow down the output by...

Hi All,
I have a continuous form with all records. For each field there is a combo in the form header and the form also contains a Toggle button "Apply Filter".
When clicked, it changes to "Cancel Filter".
Then an SQL string with condition meeting the criteria input in the combo boxes is built.
I have noticed that when certain fields are...

Hi,
I'm new to Access, so I apologize if this question is trivial.
I am trying to set-up a quick filter for users to define on a form bound to a table. I have a combo box called cboSearchCriteria from which users can select the field they wish to filter by and a text box called txtSearch into which they can specify criteria. The user then...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in...
