Access 255 charcter limitaion - work around?

I have created a database for a call center type envviroment used by multiple users at the same time. It is a split database. After an issue is created, there is a separte table called an update table, where a user can add information to current open / ongoing issues. This is information is all added via a form. The field the useres enter the issue updates is set to "Memo", so as to not have the 255 character limitation associated with a "Text" field. Some of the updates can be quite lengthy.

A report is run after each shift by each user with the issues they worked on during their shift. The report is based on a query. There is some sorting and grouping on the report. It is sorted by dated / time, and grouped by Sites.

The problem, the report will only display 255 charcters in the update description field. I have read that if you sort data, Access will revert to the 255 character limitation, even though the table property set for this filed is set to "Memo" which has a 65,536 character limitation.

Is there any sort of work around for this? Am I stuck with only 255 charcters in my reports update description field?

Thanks in advance.

For instance I want my char variable to equal the first character in the string, and then compare it to character values using if statements. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
