Will 2003 make mde usable by 2002?

I have been working on a database that i have set up to run on all the
office machines with 2002 runtime.
If I upgrade my office to 2003, and do work on the database, can I save it
in 2002 format, make and mde, and still have it run on the 2002 runtime? Or
will making the mde on 2003 make it so that it has to run on 2003 runtime?

Thanks

Hi.

Are you planning to keep at least one workstation with Access 2002 on it so
that you can easily make Access 2002 MDE's in your office? Access 2003
MDE's won't run in Access 2002, including the Runtime version.
Or
will making the mde on 2003 make it so that it has to run on 2003 runtime?
Only Access 2003 and 2007 can run an Access 2003 MDE database file. Prior
versions cannot.
