Text fields in queries

84 New Member
We have several tables that store numeric data as well as text fields that we receive from our customers. Some customers use " in the text fields. When I query the data and export the results to a TXT file it puts additional " in the text field. ex.

In the database text field 1 - <need extra files sent to location "1">
When I export the value via a query it displays the following
"<need extra files sent to location ""1"">"
is there a way to export the true text without having the additional " put in?

When you do an export to text, choose the Advanced button in the wizard and there are various options in there. You need a fairly precise understanding of your data and your requirements to select the right option(s) for you.
