update query to change format

Can I create an update query to change all the dates in a column of data that is currently in this format: 0407 (so the first two digits are the month and the third and fourth digits are the year, ie. April 2007) to 04/07? I know how to use a input mask for all new data entered via a form but I need to update all the previous data.

Thanks
