Records in form deleted?

35 New Member
I Have a very odd problem, i have entered 30 peoples worth of info into a form, so i save and quit. However when i go back into it only 16 records exist. I think maybe i didnt save it, so i check the tables where i store all of the info and all 30 users exist.

I am very confused about this and is causing a lot of problems. any solutions would be great.

Thanks

Open the form in design view and open the properties.
Check the form properties under the data tab.
What is the Control Source set to?
What is the Filter set to?

I would start with checking the filter.
At the bottom of the form you'll see besides the navigationbuttons:
16 (Filtered)
when a filter is active. Click the Filter button at the top to remove such a filter.

Check my description of the right-click popup to learn a bit more about how to filter in Access: www.geocities/nico5038

Then we need to check the form's recordsource.
Open the properties window (button with hand and white sheet) and the first field under the Data tab will hold a SELECT or a query.
When it's a select, copy/paste that here so we can have a look.
When it's a queryname, then open the query by pressing the [...] button after the field and switch to the SQL to copy/paste that.

Sorted, for some reason if i didnt check a tick box it never enters that data to that table saying user doesn't have it, so i have to have 2 tick boxes. Now all data appears, cheers for the help anyway

Is there any code that changes the recordsource property during the work with the form?
