database zetten eventueel geforceerd.

Eeermmm.... well... bless you! Or didn't that mean "A-chooooo!" ? ;-)

I hope I did understand that correctly (my dutch is not that good, but it's
close to german, that helps). So you got a database where you want to update
/ edit the backend once a week. Your problem is that you can't if someone is
still using the database - it is locked for changings then.

Well, I don't think you can do anything about it. I, too, would appreciate
it very much if there would exist a button "kick'em all out!", but as far as
I know, there isn't.

Engels!

You want to kick users from a live system. I have this working.

* have a table in the backend, I call it USysAction (so it isn't
immediately visible); link it to the front end, of course
* in a main form of the front end, have a Timer event. Depending on the
hurry you feel, set TimerInterval to 5 minutes for example.
-in the Timer event you check for presence of a certain record in
USysAction. Do as suits you best. If the action (which you set as admin)
is 'quit', issue Quit! Consider displaying a message (which must be a
form, otherwise you block your application) with a timeout.

Am I making sense here?
