Linking fields between tables or forms.

Hello,

I need some guidance. My ms access skills have gone very rusty...and i
forgot how to do this.

Table 1 (Personal Info)

ID --- Name --- City
-----------------------------
01 AB NY

Table 2 (Work Info)

ID --- Industry --- Position
------------------------------------
01 Medical Lawyer
So when I enter information on Table 1, i would want to work on the
same ID on table 2. I do not want to have the option to enter a
different ID on table 2.

As of now, when i enter table 2, I have a drop down box where I select
the ID from table 1 such as 01,02,03 BUT I do not want he option to
select, I want to be forced to id=01 if I have just entered that
information on table 1.

I am not sure if I am being clear. so...

Table 1

ID --- Name --- City
-----------------------------
99 xy NY

now I go to table 2

ID --- Industry --- Position
------------------------------------
automatically filled -- --- anytext ---blah
with the value of 99
since i have just
finished entering
that on table 1.

End goal is to use forms instead of the tables to enter the
information..

Thanks

If you create a Form, then open the Form for accessing Table 2, using the
DoCmd.OpenForm statement, and specify a WhereCondition. Check Help on
DoCmd.OpenForm for details. There is no comparable method for opening a
Table to a particular Record and passing the key.

My table is called "table A". There is a date field in this table called "1st Date Issued". My Form accesses this table, and I would like to write an expression which looks at all the entries in my table, and if "1st Date Issued" is more than 14 days ago, then to bring up a MsgBox. I thought I would use an 'On Enter' event procedure, like ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. For...
