access charts

I have set up charts to chart activity for the 3 years previous to the date
the report is run.

If there is a month during one of those years with no activity, instead of
the chart going to zero, it just leaves a gap for that month.

How do I be sure it shows a zero for the months there is no activity?

Thanks

In chart design:

Tools->Options

Choose the chart tab.

In the option group "Empty cells plotted as", choose "Zero".

Thanks for the help. I am not sure how I missed that, but I did.

In order to make the months with nothing in them show up, I made a table
with all the months in it, and put that in the query for the source for the
chart, and used that month column as a row heading. Now I end up with a
column labeled <that has a 1 in it for each month with no activity, and
the chart tries to plot those numbers. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure, I'd have to see the SQL. However, "<>" appears in graphs, and
indeed in any query, when a column does not have an indentifier. I have
a couple of examples of this sort of thing at work and I'd have to peek
at them to give an example for you - I'm at home now for the weekend. 8)
