Display Message for Each Rec in Subform.

I have a Subform in a Mainform that displays the service event history
for
the single product displayed in the maintform. The ChildParent in based
on
the SerialNo.

I am unable to get each row in the Subform (service event history) to
display
"OPEN" or "CLOSED" based on the ServDateClosed field being null or
entered.

I placed the following code in the OnCurrent of the Subform but it only
seems to
process the first record and then repeats that assigned value over and
over.

If (Is Null (ServDateClosed) Then
Me.txtDispSrvStat = "OPEN"
Else
Me.txtDispSrvStat = "CLOSED"
End If

I also tried to place the following code in the ControlSource of an
unbound textbox
use for the display, but get an error.
=IIf (Is Null(ServDateClosed),"OPEN","CLOSED")

ANY IDEAS ?

"False Alarm"

I figured it out! I placed the following code in the ControlSource of
an unbound textbox
used for the display:

=IIf([ServDateClosed] Is Null,"OPEN","CLOSED")

The following had flawed syntax:
=IIf (Is Null ServDateClosed),"OPEN","CLOSED")
