sql password with access query

Greetings,
I have an application in which I update a sql database from access
append query via linked tables. I use an ODBC connection with sql
authentication. I would like to hard code the sa password so the users
would not have to enter it each time the query runs.

Any help would be appreciated

You can put the password in the connection string:

Driver={SQL Server};Server=Aron1;Database=pubs;Uid=sa;Pwd=myPa ssword;

This connection string was copied directly from
http://www.connectionstrings.com, a great resource for obtaining the
correct syntax of connection strings used with a whole bunch of
different database formats.

<sarcasm>Your SQL administrator must really love you</sarcasm> :)

Why hard code the SA user/password? Why not take a few seconds to create
a new user with more limited permissions and use that?
