Tables Duplicating Themselves with an underline and then a number

MJ
When I look in relationships I find a couple of tables have duplicated
themselves and the titles has an underline and then a number 1 after
them. Do you have any idea what would be causing this? If I delete
the table from the relationship is duplicates it again if I use the
database.

Thanks for any help on this!

Delete the relationship (the line) not the table. The duplications have
probably been caused by someone inadvertently defining them more than once.

Thanks! I will try it at work tomorrow. Once I delete the
relationship between the extra, duplicated table should I just leave it
in the relationships screen?

No. If you see a table with no lines linking it, then the table may be
deleted (that is, the picture of it in this diagram, not the actual table!)
Right-click on some empty space next to your table and select Show All to
see any existing relationships.
In many databases each table appears only once, but it is not uncommon to
need the table to appear twice. For example, if you had tblPerson with
fields FathersNationality and MothersNationality which took the data from
tblNationality, then in the relationships window tblNationality would have
to appear twice. However, because the name of the table has to be unique,
the picture of the table would be labelled with an alias, typically,
tblNationality_1. Therefore you would have a line between tblNationality
and FathersNationality and another one between tblNationality_1 and
MothersNationality. This is all correct and normal.
There are occasions when people inadvertently set up multiple relationships,
perhaps by adding a relationship and deleting the table, not the
relationship, and then trying again. In any case, it sounds like you should
definitely give them all a check over and clean up.

Thanks Stefan! I was just worried that something was incorrectly set
up and this was just an indication that I needed to correct it.
Everything is working!
