A Form Letter with Access

P: n/a
I have a database...flat as it is...a database no less.

I would like it to create form letter (actually they are contracts) but
the idea is the same.

I would like to use a report or a form to automatically look up a
client and then go to the report/form and have the documents
automaticall created.

I know I can do a mail merge in Word with access as the data but I was
thinking Access would allow me to do it a bit slicker.

I have a number of contracts and not all are applicable to each client.
Could Access be made to also automatically generate and save a file
(contract) for recal later?

What you want to do is best done through Word.

No. What's really slick is if you use the correct tool for the job. In
this case Word.
In your Access app, you could use Automation to manipulate Word, and
make it do a mail-merge.
