Table Field date problem

Hi guys,

I have a table with a date field in the format 01/12/04 what I need in the
same table is a field that just takes the month and year from the date
field.

I have been told how to do this for a text box but cant figure how to do
this in a table

many thanks in advance

That's because it would be a mistake to do so in a table. You can calculate
these in a query so there is no reason to have them in the table.

Why in the world do you need to do this?
If you have the date, and you say you already know how to display the
month and year, that's really all you need do. No need to save, what
is essentially duplicate data.
