Using a value in Tb1 to determine num of appends in Tbl2 (txt vers)

Hi

SORRY - Plain text version:

I need to run a query in A2000/2003 to append records to a table. The number
of records will depend on the contents of a field in the table from which
the appended data are taken. So if:

Table1.record1.Fieldx = 5
Table1.record2.Fieldx = 3
Table1.record3.Fieldx = 4

then after the query is executed, Table2 contains 12 records; 5 for record 1
in Tbl1, 3 for rec 2 and so on....

I can use Access QBE, basic SQL, am conversant with programming
terminology(C, php etc), but do not use VB.

Any suggestions?
