Sorry if this posts twice. I can only assume that my previous post didn't
because I attached a small image to it to show the error.
I have had an application in MSAccess 2k for about year now without issues
until today. My users were using it in W98 without issue, but recently moved
to WindowsXP and now are getting an error. It is with the standard image
control while loading a TIF image. Loading these TIFs in W98 works but not
in WindowsXP. Does anyone know what is happening here? How to get around
this?
***************
The error is: Run-time error '2114'
Microsoft Office Access doesn't support the format of the file
'C:\EGS\Record Check\Images\111604240029.TIF,' or file is too large. Try
converting the file to BMP or GIF format.

Perhaps you can check if you have the latest service packs for Office
and Windows.
Another alternative is to buy a TIF control. I think Lead Tools has a
good (and expensive) one.

Thanks Tom, I went back and looked at the image again and discovered that it
is a multi-image file. That I believe is the problem for this control.
Does anyone have any info on multi-image files? When did these start to be
used? Is there another control to handle this? I'll check Ulead but I'd hate
to buy something when there could be free alternatives. If a full functioned
control gave me a certain level of functionality then I'd be up for a
purchase. But then again if I didn't need all the functionality...
Thanks again,
Scott

Hmmm, the short answer is no. How are you thinking I would use it? I'll take
a look at the controls again. Any specific "webbrowser control" you're
talking about?

Thanks Tom, I found it, however I'm afraid that it is a very sparcely
available control. From what I can gather, you have to have XP SP2 or/and
Office 2003 installed on the machine you wish to use it with. Since my users
will be bouncing around on many different machines this option is rather
limited. Including win98 machines. If I ignore this fact, how would I show
my multiple image file on my form? By it's control source? Are there any
docs on this control? I've searched Microsoft Assistance but I don't see
anything there.
Thanks again...
