Use an update query.
1. Create a query into your table.
2. Drag fldGender into the grid.
3. In the Criteria row under this field, enter:
Dam
4. Change it to an Update query (Update on Query menu).
Access adds an Update row to the grid.
5. In the Update row under this field, enter:
Female
6. Run the query.

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance, it is greatly
appreciated.
I have tables that have a field that I want to change from Dam to Female
and Sire to Male. Is there simple code to loop through records and change
this, instead of doing it all manually?
If fldGender = "Dam" Then
fldGender = "Female"
Loop
DoNext
ElseIf fldGender = "Sire" Then
fldGender = "Male"
Loop
DoNext
End If
Something similar to this AIR Code?
