DoCmd.OutputTo Help...

I have an application that is being used in both the retail and run time
Access (XP). One feature is that reports can be exported to SnapShot
files. I have a custom menu for the reports and VB code creates the
snap shot via the menu for the current report. This works just fine.

Now I also have a button on my report menu that will generate a snapshot
for a complete set of reports. All that is prompted for is a directory
to create the files. The names are fixed for each report. In my
development environment all goes well. In the production tests I get an
error that says OutputTo method is not available. ANy ideas what it is
that I am screwing up?

Does the machine have the (office?) export filters/options (eg. text,
excel, html, snapshot etc) installed?

Perhaps the references in your code are pointing to the wrong version?
Does it compile on the production version?

I assume the production version is also using AccessXP?

I got a fix.
In the existing code I assigned valuses to a variable and passed the
variable as the target file name to the Output function. repeated that
for the 21 files to be created.

In the new code I inserted a SetFocus call right before assigning the
value to the variable. I had read somewhere that OutputTo has issues
with focus under certain circumstances. This seems to be what my issue
was.
