Size of report file

We have an old sticker printer hooked to a very slow serial port. The
stickers are about 1" by 2" and have only a few words on them. When I
look at the print queue, the file size of the report is about 12K
which takes about 10 seconds to get transferred to the sticker
printer. It really slows everything down.

Is there anything I can do in the report layout or anything else
that would reduce that file size (1K would be nice).

Thanks,
Hank Reed

Sometimes the font makes a difference. If you use a printer built-in
font, it can print it much faster than if it needs to amulate it
graphically.
Or buy a new printer for a few hundred bucks.
