using relationships between tables

In an access database I have two tables: "Students" and "Postnr"

The first table has various students' information including fields
labelled "Postnr." and "City". Another table has only two fields: "postnr"
and "City". I have made a relationship between the Postnr-fields in the two
tables.

When entering a new record in the "Students"-table I would like the name af
the City to appear automatically after entering data in the Postnr field.
How do I do that?

I regret asking such a trivial question, but it has given me a good deal af
trouble.

Thank you

You don't need the field City in two places - it's redundant. The
relationship between the tables is all you need. Whenever you need the
city you retrieve it from a query.

Also, you should not be entering data directly into tables - that's
what forms are for.
