"Autonumber"

Tom
Is there a way to not display "Autonumber" in the primary key testbox when the
PK is an autonumber in a new record?

If it is a form, set the Text Box's Visible property to No. Autonumbers are
intended for "internal use", joining related tables, not for display to the
user.

If it is in a Datasheet View of the Table, I don't think there is a way.
Then, again, if you are giving users datasheet view in a developed database
application, you probably ought to reconsider that -- it is not a good idea.

Make the field invisible. You shouldn't care what the value is anyway.

I think that would be http://mvps.org (http://www.mvps.org also works). The site you gave
opens up an endless stream of pages, and wants to install a control that is not trusted.
Arrrrrrrgghhhhh.

You're right....I was fooled because the username looked somewhat legit (binghamhq). I've
noticed that our resident troll usually uses e-mail addresses with usernames that are
pretty obviously Don, such as: access_morons, ohgumkfarjxv, etc. You got me Don.
(Actually, I noticed the incorrect URL, but I decided to try it out first before reporting
it, just in case it worked too). It looks like the folks that run that web site are
capitalizing on people entering an incorrect URL for a fairly popular site.
