Send SMS from MS Access to Mobile Phone

100 New Member
Is there any way to send SMS from MS access to Mobile phone numbers? I have Samsung Galaxy J5. Does it have ability to do so? I use MS Access 2016 on My laptop with Windows 10. Please give any shortcut possible way. Thanking in anticipation.

Not natively, no.

You'd need to sign up for a service and then use that service as per instructions.

If you send an email to the right domain, it will text the number. For example, 5555551234@tmom ail.net will text that number if it's a T-Mobile number. You can look up the domain for whichever ones you need on Google.

If you would rather use a service, you should Google for one in the country you need.

Does the mobile phone model I possess not have this ability or the MS Access?

You don't have the right hardware. You would need to set up an SMS gateway device to send texts from a computer. Which is why most people opt to use a service instead.

What phone you have has no bearing on your computer's ability to send texts. Unless you're somehow running Microsoft Access from the phone or leaving your phone connected to your computer.

Thank you for response. I use MS Access from my Laptop and, if it is possible to send sms from the Access database via phone, I can leave the phone connected to it. Please tell me the way. Thank you.

It would be cleaner and more stable if you went with a web service.

But if you really want to MacGyver it, one way to do so would be to install pushbullet on your computer. And install pushbullet and tasker on your phone. Then have Access use pushbullet to send a notification to your phone. Then have tasker parse the pushbullet notification and send the text.

Sorry, but that's not what we do here. You need to put in some effort. We're not here to do your work for you. Three methods have been laid out: a web service, using email to the cell provider, or installing and configuring apps on your computer and phone. You need to pick the one that you want to implement and then try to implement it.

I'm interested in developing an application that will send an SMS message to a mobile phone, but I'm not sure where to start. The purpose of the application would be to send an SMS message to a list of cell phone numbers, regardless of what phone provider they use. Is this idea viable? People have suggested that they use email to send the message (i.e. 3034445999@att.com) but some companies don't offer that service, so that wouldn't work. ...

I am working on a C# application development which sends MMS from the server terminal. I have connected my mobile phone (acts as a GSM/GPRS modem) to my PC. I tried to send SMS to my friend's mobile phone via AT commands and it works. However, how can I send MMS to her mobile? Can I do that using AT commands? Or rather how can I do that in C#? I don't wish to use third parties like NowSMS or Activxpert. Please advise. Thank you very...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
