Hi,
I'm running queries with MySql 4.0.17 that return thousands of
records. Because I need to present them in GUI, I returieve the
results in chunks using LIMIT, for example - get first 100, then the
range 100-2000 and so on.
The problem is as follows: in the first chunk, MySQL uses one strategy
to fetch the results, and in the following chunks - a different
strategy.

I need to append text to the end of my sql query results.
For instance, my query returns a list of user names in
firstname.lastname. I need to add @yahoo.com to each record. So the
end result should be firstname.lastname@yahoo.com. What should by
select statement look like?
Any help?

Hello Everyone,
Access 2000,
I have a main unbound form with a bound datasheet subform
. The subform is bound to a query
that returns records based on criteria in the main form. The user then
double clicks a row on the datasheet subform to open yet another form
bound to a table . These two forms are linked by
the field. So far so good.

I have a datasheet subform that is based off an ADO recordset. All is
fine excpet the query results are displayed oddly. Rather than
displaying the results as say 95.43, it displays it as
95.430000000000000. Obviously I don't want these extra zero's. I have
tried limiting the decimal places in the properties of the textbox in
which the results are displayed, but no effect. Hopefully one of you
have an idea. Thanks for your help!

I doubt this is the best way to do it, but what I came up
with was to hide the XML in an HTML Comment then edit the
file deleting the HTML stuff and keep the XML results. If
anyone has a better solution, I would be interested.
Thank you.

ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load

I'm trying to filter by query or put those values in a distinct query
in a where clause in some sort of list that it goes through but NOT at
the same time. Example:
ROW1
ROW2
ROW3
ROW4 , etc.
I want to go to the first row, do a WHERE statement, return the

I've been trying to get this piece to work for a few hours, but have
given up. I hope someone out there can help, I think the issue is
relatively straightforward, but being a novice, I'm stumped. Below you
will find the code I've written and the error that results. I'm hoping
that someone can give me some direction as to what syntax or parameter
is missing from the code that is expected by VBA.

I'm trying to copy calculated...

Hi group,
Is there an easy way to make a form create the same set of fields dynamically, once for each record returned by a query?
I have a query that's being called from a form and the results are displayed in a subform in datasheet view. This is nice, but I want a better (and more visually appealing) way to interact with the query results.
Instead of displaying the results in datasheet view, I'd like each field in each row to be...

Hello thescripts and well met.
I've recently been handed a new duty and have the joy of 'crash coursing' MS Access.
Things are working well but I've ran into a problem that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere.
I have a main form that contains a subform(datasheet view) based on a simple query with one criteria prompt. It's returning the data just as I need it to, but once it lists the results of the query in the sub-form (say...

Hello everyone.
I have Access 2000 database which holds student records in the school. It stores subject grades for each student. In the 'Student Grade Form', I would like to search student surname using a query rather than scrolling down through 100s of names. Also, I would like the results of the query search to show in the form automatically in fields of 'Student name' and 'Student surname' based on the results. Is there any way I can do...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
