I'm using radnom selection in ms access to select certain number of
questions for the exam. i have two versions of the report:
- one without marked answers

the problem is when i generate the reports one after another, i don't
get the same selection of questions. Does anyone knows how to generate
two parallel reports that would give the same random selection?

Hello,
I would like to select/filter at random 30 records out of an
Access-table of 1500 records. I know the option "Top" which gives me
the possibility to see the 30 first records of the table The problem is
that this option is linked to the way of sorting the table. So you will
always select from a very restraint part of the 1500 records.
Is there a possibility
* to select or sort at random in Access. Maybe there exists an

I'm working on testing a large application with Access 2007. It has been running under 2003 and XP with no obvious errors.
However with 2007 many forms seem to have lost the ability to filter. When the form is loaded, the record source specifed, a filter applied, and filtering set to on, either no records are displayed, or ALL of the records displayed.
Click on the "Toggle Filter" on the ribbon and voila, the resordset is displayed.

Hi everybody, this time I have three problems driving me nuts :-(((
(1)
I have a report with 20 or so Yes/No "squares". Is there a way to
either hide/show the "square" or change the yes/no relative textbox,
depending on value?

My company is in the process of upgrading everyone to Access 2007. Since my machine was upgraded I've been highly frustrated with an apparent random behaviour byAccess that I can't understand. It involves databases that I created in Access 2002 (i.e. *.mdb files).
What happens is when I open a form that has the border style property set to 'Dialog', Access 2007 is correctly preserving the size of the form itself (i.e. if you look in the...

Hi !! I'm about to develop a new project for a client.
Should I go about it in Access 2003 or 2007 ? Purchasing it either
for me or for my client is not a major consideration here ... what I'd
like to know is the stability, speed & ease of use of both the
products.
I believe Access 2007 has a new file format too and that it may be
slower.

I've made an Access 2007 database to store information about the lessonplans I have to make every schoolyear.
I want to export the data form the table "Lesvoorbereiding" (Lessonplans in English) to Word using a readymade template (NLD-LV1.dotx). All works well except for the multivalued fields 'Lesuur' (Lessonhour) and 'Werkvormen' (Used activities) and the field 'Lesverloop' (Lessonflow?), i.e. a field where you can link to documents, etc. on...

I am trying to use a command button to automate a process for creating mailing labels from a query in Access 2007, going into word 2007. Current code looks like the following:
'Start MS Word
Dim objWord As Word.Application
Set objWord = CreateObject("Word.Application")
'Make Application visible
With objWord
.Visible = True
ActiveDocument.MailMerge.MainDocumentType = wdMailingLabels

Hi,
Short version: trying to export more than 65K of data from Access 2007 into Excel 2007 (important) through VBA. Access gives me 65K row limitation error, though I thought that was no longer an issue in Access/Excel 2007. Any hope?
Long story:
I have several databases with 400+ queries that I export into a folder as Excel files (with VBA). I then have some Excel macros that run through all the exported files and format them into...

Hello,
Can anyone help me figure out how to show/hide fields based on information entered in other fields in a form in Access 2007? What I'm looking to do is: When a selection from a drop down is chosen, hidden Yes/No fields (check boxes) that apply to that specific information appear and can be updated by users. The other Yes/No fields that do not apply to the chosen selection remain hidden.
I need to be able to do this for all the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
