Send E-Mail to current active record E-mail

2 New Member
I want to send a report to the currently selected student in my database. I have everything working fine, except pulling the e-mail address from the form. Rather than reading what I am writing as code, it literally puts [Forms]![frmStu_Assn1]![Stu_Email] into the TO: of the message. Stu_Email is a field on the form where the e-mail address of the current student is displayed. Thanks!

Figured this one out just after posting. My mistake... you cannot put " " around the code line [Forms]![frmStu_Assn1]![Stu_Email],

DOH!

Hi, I have what seems to be a simple problem. But I can not for the life of me find a way to send an integer over a socket. The send method will only accept strings. Here is what I am trying to do: testmessage = 'test message' msglen = len(testmessage) sock.send(msglen) sock.send(testmessage)

Hi, there is an application running on a remote desktop (under Citrix ICA, but the same problem applies for RDC or PC Anywhere). Now, I want to send keys to the remote application from a local app. I tried sending keys in VB with SendKeys, as well as using keybd_event API, but I'm not able to send any keys. It works very well for any local applications, but I can't pass the keys remotely. Is there any way to do it? Thanks! Etienne

Hi. I am trying to use Sockets to do multiple Send and Receives via HTTP (not simultaneously). A first pair of Send/Receives works fine and sure enough I receive HTML back, but the next Send/Receive pair (even if identically the same as the first pair) returns no data. eg. The following simplified code will receive some bytes: s.Send(ByteGet, ByteGet.Length, SocketFlags.None); bytes = s.Receive(RecvBytes, RecvBytes.Length, 0); //...

Hi, I'm writing a program to send large file(100m) through dotnet using TCPListener & TCPClient, I'm sending the file with a ask and response loop: 1. Client send a flag 1 to server indicate it has data send to server. 2. Client send the buffer block size. 3. Client send the actual buffer to the server. 4. Server send a flag 1 to client indicating that the buffer has been successfully receeived. 5. The next loop until all data of the...

Hello everyone, I'm having some odd problems with a little program I wrote for sending/receiving bytes across the network. I am using synchronous sockets, and it seems that when I send byte after byte too fast, the packet gets lots somewhere (as odd as that sounds). Here's the sending code:

I need to use a sendkeys key combination to automate the "accept files" that a remote user wants to send to me via Windows messenger. I am using automation to work with Windows Messenger client in a Winforms C# application. I have tried a number of code segment combinations for ALT T combination without success. The combinations might be correct but it might be failing for some other reason. My Attempts:

Hello, I have read that send() may not send whole message and returns the nuber of bytes sent, so that we can handle the rest of the message. Is it true, because i have tested sending even 1MB long message by the Internet connection and it was sent in one message - send() returned length of whole message? And the second question: If we really need to send the rest of the message, what should i do if client disconnects while sending...

Hello everybody, The error I have seems very easy to solve, but for some odd reason I can't seem to solve it. Anyways, here's my "setup". I created a server running on localhost:1200 (telnet localhost 1200 proves that it is up and running) and I coded a client which is supposed to connect to that server and send it data. The odd part is that the client connects to the server (via connect()) without any problem, but three lines later, it...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
