VBA - Create Outlook email in html format based on template (word/outlook)

1 New Member
I have MS Access Database clients database. When client places an order – I have developed VBA code to create an email confirming the details of the order.

Everything is coded, but the body text is concatenation of multiple notepad files and fields from the database.

I need to improve the code to be able to send html format email based on a template – it can be Word Template, or Outlook Template… something like Mail Merge in Word, but there will some details taken from the database to be populated on the email. Details like:

Clients name, address, order number, schedule date, type of order, estimated price, etc.

Have you tried using?
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. DoCmd.SendObject...
Here you can use templates for sending e-mails.
Read more in vba help about it....

I am looking for a VBA "format" or "template" function, that is, a function that takes a format string and a varying number of arguments, and substitutes the argument values into the format string as specified in the format string. For example fmt("this is $1 format string. arg2 is $2", "short", 3) would return the string "this is short format string. arg2 is 3" Now, the above is easy to write and I have done so. What I want is...

Problem: I need to allow my users to drag an email out of Outlook and drop it on a winform -- from there, I need to get the text of that email (not just the sender and subject) -- from there I'll save it myself in a database. This is to allow them to track all the correspondance that happens between themselves and a customer. I've found code examples of how to do this with an ATTACHMENT out of Outlook, but not the email message itself...

Please forgive me for cross posting. I hope I can get the answer from either NG. I was able to export a CR report to PDF to MAPI (using Outlook client) , but not with HTML format from a .NET application. In Brian Bischof's book, he warns about the file folder that created by CR during export to HTML format. I don't know whether this is the case but all parameters were set to false, meaning it's a simple export to HTML format.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
