2 Combo Box's & a SubForm

1 New Member
Relatively new to Access, 1 year of self taught.
I have a Form (Form1) that is Unbound, with the main Combo Box, (SupCombo) that has its Row Source :
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Select qrySupervisors.Supervisor
  2. From qrySupervisor
qrySupervisor 1 column
Supervisor

Once the supervisor is selected, the Second Combo Box (AgentCombo) populates with the Agents assigned to that Supervisor. AgentCombo's Row Source is "qryAgent"
qryAgent 2 Columns
Agent
Supervisor (Criteria : [Forms]![Form1]![SupCombo]) to link it to the SupCombo box.

What I want to do is have a subform that populates the relevant data to that particular Agent, time in, out, break time, etc. I want to be able to allow the supervisor to change the agent in the combo box and the subform change to that agents data.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Check out Example Filtering on a Form for a fuller explanation, but I would suggest using a filter on your subform, which can be set up in code after a selection is made from the Agent ComboBox.

I have a form (frm_MAIN_RPT) that contains a combo box (Combo6) & subform (dbo_REQ_subform). The combo box is used to select the "cost center" data that will be displayed in the subform. From there, I have a button that runs a report based on which item I select in the subform. 1. The Combo Box correctly displays the list of cost centers within the combo box. 2. The subform, when opened separately, correctly displays the data for the...

So I have a subform that lists the various items on a particular invoice. First, the user selects a product class from the Class dropdown. This is bound to the Class field in the InvioceLines table. The rowsource for the combobox is: ClassName, ClassID, ClassSort from the Class table, with the bound column set to ClassID.

Dear All, First of all I would like to take the time to thank you all for your efforts and time spent at this wonderful forum. I have found it very helpful with numerous examples available for every level of user. I am facing a rather weird behaviour with a combo box on a subform (Continuous form). I have two tables. Order and Order_Details. The master form is based on the Orders tables and the details form (subform) is based on the...

This is what I am using to filter my combo box based on what is selected in the previous box. Open the properties for the second combo box. Next to the 'Row Source' property, click on the '...'. This opens the query related to the combo box. In the criteria row under the category field, type the following: !!

I have 2 questions. 1)How can I do a setfocus on the first item in a combo box populated with a query. I figured I could somehow use the index of 0 but I can't figure out the syntax to do it. 2)I set up error handling on a subform that requires a field in the main subform to be clicked. If the user doesn't select one I get the constraint violation. How can I cause the subform to default back to as if nothing was typed there. Basically...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...

A Windows Forms form does not have the event Unload, like VB6. What one acts like?
