How to force the curser to a next field in a datasheet form

Dear reader,

How can I move the curser from one field to the next field in the record
after an action triggered by the event After click. The form is of the type
Datasheet.

The next code in the event After click: Docmd.GoToContr ol
"NextFieldN ame"

shows the error the command or action isn't available now. How can I force
the cursor to the next field in a form of the type DataSheet.

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards,

Simon

Cheezy solution: use the SENDKEYS function and send a TAB character. :)

I have a form which allows both form and datasheet views. My question is, is it possible to control the field (column) names in datasheet view? What happens at the moment is that the name is taken from a control's label if there is one, and if not, the control's name is used. This is confusing for my users so I'd like to be able to use more sensible names in datasheet view. Is this possible? Many thanks. Keith.

Hello Everyone, Access 2000, I have a main unbound form with a bound datasheet subform . The subform is bound to a query that returns records based on criteria in the main form. The user then double clicks a row on the datasheet subform to open yet another form bound to a table . These two forms are linked by the field. So far so good.

I have a form which is displayed in Datasheet View and would prefer it if, when entering data, I could use the keyboard as I would when entering data into a Datasheet. Is it possible when entering data into a form to get the cursor to move to the next control after I press the Enter key? Terry

I have a subform (that is linked to a table) in a blank form. When the table is viewed in its subform state in the form, the headings are not user friendly. ie. CustN I would want it to read in the subform heading column as Customer Name without affecting the actually field heading in the table itself..... if that makes sense. Any suggestions? thanks

Help I built a form/subform/subsubform setup using the access forms wizard. I have a table1 = parent, table2 = child, table3 = (grandchild?). There will be multiple records in table2 that tie to table1, and multiple records in table 3 that tie to table2. Both on "1 to many" joins. Each of the forms are bound to the fields in the respective tables. The subform & subsubform are datasheet view. When I enter any data, I

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
