I have a table with over 12,000 entries. I have created a form (with the help of this forum) that will return the search results based upon the stop and stop time selected. See post http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread757933.html for additional context.
Now, I want to take this a step further by querying this table by clicking a new command button on the form which will open up a new query displaying the average number for six of these columns for each distinct stop. So, if stop "abcd" has 6 records returned from the search, when I click the new command button, I want to then calculate the averages for the specified columns: ON, OFF, LOAD, LOAD_FACTOR, SCHED_DEV, SCHED_RUNTIME, ACTUAL_RUNTIME) and display a new table showing the average of the sum of the values for each individual column, so at the end, I will have 1 record, displaying the six columns with the average (oh, and rounded to two decimal places), along with the other columns.
I know somewhere out there has done something similar...thank s in advance!

If you're wanting to do an average of a particular column of data, then all you have to do is simply add the AVG() function to that particular data item in the query.
If you're wanting to take multiple columns of data and due an average, then you would need to add all of them up in a single column and then apply the AVG() function to it.
If you need more detail, then I would need to see what you have setup so far, the example that you've given in the previous post didn't have what information you have on the form very clearly.
Kind of hard for me to give a more detail answer with out a better understanding of your database structure.
Thanks,
Joe P.

Firstly, sorry for the long post, but I've included a fair bit of
sample data.
Im doing a comparision of 10yr Bond prices and CPI adjustments, with
an 18 week moving average of the CPI. I'm using a nested sub-query to
calculate the moving average, but I'm having difficulty selecting
exactly 18 data points (ie When I include the 'HAVING COUNT(C1.Closes)
= 18' line, I get no results).
Can anyone help?

I posted this in the MS Access group, but no luck.
------------------------------------------
I've got another stored procedure in the same app that returns multiple
recordsets and the code works.
But now I've written another SP and the code traps out with the 3251 message.
The SP is writing two recordsets.
When I run the SP in Query Analyzer, both recordsets appear.

I am hoping someone can help me. I am making a Access 97 app for a
person and have run up against a problem to do with MS Graph. There is
a table that has a number of data elements and a date field and
entries are entered each month.
A graph is required that has three of the data elements represented
basically on the y axis and time as months along the x axis. So for
each month there is a group of three columns representing the data...

Using Access2000, the sample code below is what I have been modifying and
working on since the past week and I could not get it to work properly.
What I wanted to accomplish:
1) read from a recordset and export to Excel
2) Excel is populated based from an ID (may possible be one or multiple) and
renames the worksheet based from the ID
3) the code also format the fields
The sample database may be downloaded at:

I have a stored procedure that has 2 parameters BusinessUnitID and
Year.
It returns multiple record sets (5 to be exact).
I thought I could use a Pass through query but that only returns the
first record set.
I thought I could use ADO but that does not seem to work. I get an

I was inspired by the recent discussion of returning multiple recordsets to
ADO from a stored procedure. (Amazed is probably more accurate). I asked
about how to accomplish same with Oracle and got a nudge in the right
direction from Mr. Kreft. I promised to provide details once working, so
here it is.
The code is shown below. My next step is to build this technique into my
application. I'm hoping for substantial performance gain.

I have several fields in a table that I want to sum, get an average and update the avg value in another field. This is for each record. If anyone can help, what is the best way of doing this? I tried using the avg function, but it averages the whole column.

Hi,
I have two fields in my report. One of them is school name(the school name appears multiple times). The other field is class test score. How would I go about calculating the test average for each school?
I can calculate the average of all the schools but am having difficulty coding some kind of sort procedure for an average test score of all the classes in each school.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
