I have seen the following problem mentioned here before but have not
as yet seen a fix that works.
When a chart is opened in form view everything is OK. When a chart
based on the same query is opened in a report, sometimes the chart
shows the design view data and not the data from the query. If the
report is closed then reopened, more often than not it will show the
correct data.
This is a serious flaw in Access and makes an otherwise...

Hi,
I am using Access 2002 and am creating a scatter-chart on a form in
which the X-axis is a date. I can format and display the x-axis
properly as a date. However, when I close and reopen Access, the data
are incorrectly plotted with an x-axis that begins with a date of 1900.
Only by toggling from the option "chart by column" to "chart by row"
and then back to "chart by column", can I get the correct date on the
x-axis.
The problem...

I have been asked what I thought would be a good database design, data
delivery mechanism and rendering method for an org chart with as many as
100,000 people. No other design specifications.
1. Database design? Good question.
Employee Table
EmployeeID
EmployeeName
ParentNode (BossID ??)
Depth(some way to tell what depth the node is at)

Hello,
I am using VS2005 Beta2 and I have added a Simple Line-Graph chart to a
ReportViewer control.
I can click on the chart and alter for example the Minimum and Maximum scale
values of the Y-axis.
The question I have is that, can I change these values from within my code
and how?

We have been noticing that questions on vs.2005/2.0 don't appear to get much
in answers so I'm reposting some questions posted by some of the programmers
here in our organization that never got answered...
In 1.1 we always did our own myDataAdapter.fills and we liked that control
for lots of good reasons. Now the new DataSource (or is it a
TableAdapter:Dataset) automatically fills the Gridview. How can we control
that fill?
In a...

Hello, I want to use the above characters codes chart but I dont know how to
set the typeface (documentation: The characters that appear in Windows above

I wish to create a report with a chart, but I want to use a SQL
statement as the source of the data, using VBA code in the reports load
event
I found the following snippet
Dim objGraph As Object, objDS As Object, rsData As Recordset
Set objGraph = Me!Graph1.Object
Set objDS = objGraph.Application.DataSheet

I am charting data from a query that consists of a Date/Time field and
a Number field. The Date/Time field is the x scale on my chart.
Sometimes data is collected from different times during the one day.
I need to be able to see these times as different time points on the x
scale of my chart. To accomplish this I am using the following
statement as the row source for my chart: "SELECT
(Format(,"DDDDD HAMPM")),Max() AS FROM
GROUP BY...

This is what I want to do:
Each report page will list some details about a sample (like time
sampled, where, who sampled) and below it a chart showing the
distribution of the sample (i.e. numbers in categories of less than 2
oz, 2-2.5oz, 2.5oz-3oz, etc.)
I thought that I could add a chart just like in Excel but either I
cannot or am doing something very wrong. In Report Design I click on
Design at the top and then Insert Chart

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
