I'm not sure this will help but It sounds like you are trying to export the report while it is closed, try opening the report then export it. Let me know if this helps.

If you're using calculated fields on your report ensure that no nulls are being passed through that would disrupt those calculations.

JK is right for the null values as well as any fields that may contain errors, remember that there can be hidden fields only viewable in in design view etc. Is this a report that you designed or have you taken it over from some other designer? I was also wondering what you might be trying to export it to? I have witnessed many issues in exporting due to the fact that a field may contain numbers and text. The field may be a text field but when MS Access sees the numbers it doesn't matter numbers it is so it will error out and not export.

I have a similar issue, however, 2 users are getting the overflow error on a particular report, yet when I export the report I don't get the overflow error.

Any ideas?

It can be hard to say without more info, there can always be so many variables in these situations. I have witnessed incidents where a particular P.C. may not have enough resources. I closed a few apps and sometimes that helps. Sometimes the P.C. with problems just doesn't have what it takes either.

Hi all, I've seen this noted in many posts, but nothing I've checked out gives me any clue on how to do this. Basically as my topic says, I have a DTS and I simply need to export some data from a table in MS SQL 2000 to an Excel spreadsheet. I also need to automate this process so it can run nightly and each new day a new spreadsheet will be on a network share for us to pick-up.

Is it possible to export a report to word and have it include the graphics that are in the report? I'd like to take some of our reports and export them to word so we can email those to the client, but when I export, I lose the logo as well as any graphics (grey line separaters, etc) and only get the text of the reports.

I'm having trouble with exporting reports to Word in the rtf format and I'm hoping someone has a solution. The reports are losing their formats. Not all the formating is lost but some is and of course it's the really important parts that are lost. In one report the grouping is lost and everything gets repeated. I've created several reports that pull data from various tables then they get exported to Word when they're run so the user can...

Hi I don't know if anyone can help me with this but every time I try and export reports as a 'Rich Text' file from Access 2000 the export fails and I keep getting an 'Overflow' message come up. It happens on more than one database but its only just started doing it - didn't used to! What's even stranger is that if I run the same reports from other PCs on our network then they export as RTF files just fine. I'm really puzzled as to...

The short of it: If you needed to import a CSV file of a certain structure on a regular basis(say 32 csv files, each to one a table in 32 databases), what would be your first instinct on how to set this up so as to do it reliably and minimize overhead? There are currently no constraints on the destination table. Assume the user or some configuration specifies the database name, server name, and filename+fullpath. The server is SQL...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
