To fire Double Click event of Subform from Main Form

6 New Member
Hi,

I have a subform in datasheet layout embedded in the main form.I want to invoke a procedure on the double click of each record in the subform. Is there a away by which I can fire the double click event of Detail section of the subform from the main form?I can't find this event.

As of now,I am invoking the procedure in the Form_DblClick event of the subform. But this invokes the procedure when I double click on any part of the subform.I want to invoke it only on the double click of records in the subform.Pls help.

I don't want to open the subform in a new window. It is embedded in the main form.

Thanks,
Savita

Change from datasheet to continuous form view or replace subform with listbox. Datasheet view doesn't accept the double-click on record event.

Hi, Savita.

Form_DblClick is a Private procedure.
First you need to declare it as Public. When you may fire it explicitely referencing to subform module.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Dim intCancel as Integer
  2. Form_<subform name>.Form_DblClick (intCancel)
  3.

I need to be able to click in a subform and run code but at the same time I need to be able to scroll the records without running the code. I tried coding the Enter event of the subform control but when I try to scroll the records the code runs. The subform is continuous; all the controls are on one line and the detail section is not exsposed above or below the controls. I tried coding the detail Click event but nothing happened. I tried...

I have a form, frmVehicleEntryForm. On it is a subform control named frmAddnlOwnrListSubForm. The subform control's source object is frmAddnlOwnrListSubForm. When I click on the subform control, an attempt to SAVE the partially entered record on the main form is attempted. I do not understand where this behavior is coming from or why. Haven't a clue where to look. Anyone familiar with this behaviour? Here's my subform control's Enter...

Hello experts, Sorry, this is probably a newbie-question... I have a form for customer details, which includes a subform (datasheet, multiple columns) that lists the orders that correspond to that customer. On the subform, I would like to define a double click event that opens a separate form with all details of a specific order (depending on the row in the subform on which the user double-clicked). But I don't know what I should...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
