Input date mask in access 2000 and 2003

40 New Member
Hello,

I've been working on access 2000 for few days. I made some forms with textfields where you can type date. Those textfields had input mask set for short date 99/99/0000. Now software have changed and some computers have access 2000 and some have access 2003, where date format is 0000/00/00. Is there some way for input mask to change depending on access version? I know the date format will convert from 2000 to 2003 (I don't know if it'd work oposide direction) but this still does not solve the problem of "how to input date in textfield"

Cheers

Change the format of the field from text to date, then you don't need an input mask because they have to enter a valid date.

I'm working on a subform where users put in 24-hour time. On their paper forms, they've been accustomed to referring to midnight as 24:00 (instead of as 0:00, which kind of makes sense from a human point of view, though it's still wrong, as it puts midnight as the end of the previous day instead of the beginning of the next, but it avoids the zero time problem). I have an input mask to put the : in the time, but when you input 24:00, it...

In my application, a text box control resides in a form. The text box control is unbound, but--assuming all edits are passed when the user click a command button on the form--the contents of the text box control end up in a field in a table with a data type of Date/Time. Is it possible to set up a mask on this text box control such that if one types any any of the following sequence of characters into the text box 06/25/04 6/25/04

Hello, and thank you in advance for your help. Again. I want to enter the month and day portions only of a date into a table field. The idea is that I'll use the information later to generate a list of birthdays by using a query (all the birthdays in January, all in February and so forth). The organization doesn't ask for dates of birth - the only information available is the day and month - 8/4, for example is my birthday and that's all...

Hello, I have this Access 2K query that I need to re-create in MS SQL Server 2000, so I'm using the Query Analyzer to test it. One of the Access fields stores the home phone number. In the Access query, if the phone number is null, it fills it up with zeroes "000000000." If the phone has an input mask, it only gets the 9 numbers (area code included) and if the phone number's good (all numbers) then it leaves it alone. That Access query...

Hi, I created a short date field. The format is dd/mm/yyyy when displayed. The input mask is set to 99/99/00;0 (default, I didn't type anything). If I edit an existing date, say change 12/14/2007 to 12/15/2007, I get an error "the value you entered isn't appropriate for the input mask." I have to delete the "20" in the year to get it accepted, and then it puts the 20 right back. (I have the field set to required.) I changed 99/99/00;0...

I am using Access, 2003. I have an entry form (single form) with a date field. I would like the user to be able to enter: 115 08 and have Access store and display the date as: 11/05/08, even though the zero was not entered. I am familiar with customizing formats and input masks, but cannot find any hint in the help section of how to achieve this. Is it possible? Maybe using VB (I am a novice at VB)? Thanks

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
