Hello,
I've been working on access 2000 for few days. I made some forms with textfields where you can type date. Those textfields had input mask set for short date 99/99/0000. Now software have changed and some computers have access 2000 and some have access 2003, where date format is 0000/00/00. Is there some way for input mask to change depending on access version? I know the date format will convert from 2000 to 2003 (I don't know if it'd work oposide direction) but this still does not solve the problem of "how to input date in textfield"

Change the format of the field from text to date, then you don't need an input mask because they have to enter a valid date.

Hello, I have this Access 2K query that I need to re-create in MS SQL

Hi,
I created a short date field. The format is dd/mm/yyyy when displayed.
The input mask is set to 99/99/00;0 (default, I didn't type anything).
If I edit an existing date, say change 12/14/2007 to 12/15/2007, I get
an error "the value you entered isn't appropriate for the input mask."
I have to delete the "20" in the year to get it accepted, and then it
puts the 20 right back. (I have the field set to required.)

and have Access store and display the date as:
