Error in adding fields to existing table

17 New Member
Hello everyone,
I need to add 10 fields into an existing table which already has 186 fields. but i am not able to do so as i keep getting error message when i try to save the table.

Property value is too large. (Error 3309)

help on this says

"This error can appear if:
You have exceeded the maximum number of columns allowed in a table or the maximum number of locks for a single file.
The indexed property of a field was changed from Yes (Duplicates OK) to Yes (No Duplicates) when duplicate data is already present in the table."

can you help please ?

thanks

Is there any reason that you can't split the table and then just access the new tables via a query that joins them?

I know how to do it with a make table query, but I have a specific need to only add a new field to a table if possible. Here's a simplified example of what I'm trying to do: I get a file with the...

I have zero experience with ODBC. If I have an Access frontend connected to a SQL Database using ODBC, are the tables connected like a frontend/backend Access database where the the tables you see in the frontend are only "copies" of the tables in the backend? Or ar the tables "real" tables connected to the SQL tables in some manner? If the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
