DCount in Report or Creating Grouped Summary in Footer of Report

5 New Member
Hi,
I am using Access 2003 and need a report to show details and then a summary at the bottom that separates by market. I see that I could group, then put a summary after each group but I need the details on the top and the summary at the bottom.

I have 2 queries- one for the details and one for the summary. If there was someway to link the Report to both queries?

Also I thought I could enter the markets in as Labels, then use DCOUNT to count only the data from a unique market. I would just need to count all market in the report that were in a certain state.

Better ideas or help with these?

Have a look at using subreports for the details and summary

Hello I have a report, which lists records. Each record has money paid field. Money paid can be 0 or not 0. I calculate and print summary of money for a group in the group footer, as well as summary of money for all groups the report footer. When there is at least one record with money >0, group and report footers are appropriate and look OK. When all records are with 0 money, footers look silly. I’d like not to print them. I have placed...

How do I get all fields on one page of a report? I have a report that has a column for each day of the week and 6 records for each day. I need each weekday's records returned on only one detail page. Instead I am getting a new table layout for each day of the week. I have tried grouping on every record and combination I can, manipulating the Group Properties but can't get it right. I have the entire report in the Detail Section, with...

Hi, I have an Access 97 report that mimics an official UK Covernment Customs document, with Page Headers and Footers presenting static data for each page (logos etc). The report is made up (typically) of several lines of detail data, with a few summary lines at the foot of these. I am (nearly) achieving the right "look and feel" by presenting the line items in the Report Detail section and the summary lines in the Report Footer BUT...

Hope someone can help an Access beginner! I've just started keeping my surgical logbook on access and it's a simple flat-file affair. I have created several queries that will list cases performed at different hospitals and reports based on the queries to print out the relavent details. What I would like to do is have a summary sheet in the Report Footer section that lists a grid of each type of procedure performed as well as the...

Hi Everybody- I've been reading some of the posts about DCOUNT, and I haven't yet found an answer; so, I'm posting this question. I have a report that I'm trying to use DCOUNT on to compute the percentages of each group. The groups are based on sports. For instance, football, soccer, baseball, basketball. I have a table of people that play these sports.

quick summary: i'm having problems trying to group fields in a report in order to calculate percentages. to calculate percentages, i'm comparing the results from my grouped fields to the totals. first, let me say that this is a really long post. i wasn't sure how much information/ background to provide, so i thought more was better than less. i tried to delineate certain areas so that it would be easy to peruse my posting and find...

This one really has me going. Probably something silly. I'm using dcount for a report to determine the number of different types of tests proctored in a semester. My report is based on a parameter query which is the recordsource for the report. The parameter is <=. The query returns the correct amounts upto the date entered (no need for "between" dates here). There are 8 textboxes with dcounts; 2 other boxes Sum some of these

I've built a report using a aggregate query that is grouped by Month + Year, Program and Name. When I feed the date ranges as query parameters, it will very properly print out a report that shows a separate page for each program by month with the names of the folks in that program. So far, so good... But what I need to complete the report is a summary page for the entire date range in the same format. I have no &%^# idea how to do that....

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
