I am wondering if I can create an application that when you click on
it (say a shortcut), it opens a report parameter box to query a set of
parameters, and then opens the report based on these selections
without actually opening the access database window.
In other words, can I have the end user only see (i.e. have access to)
the report in the print preview mode?
If so, any suggestions as to how to go about this?
Many thanks

I forgot to say I was using Access 2003 for XP
Use an Autoexec macro that opens the report when the database is opened.

Can I still get to the DB to make changes? I want to limit some of the
users to just the report for previewing and printing, others can have
access to the DB for editing needs.
Hold down the Shift Key to open the database in normal fashion.

Once the report is opened, is there any thing that prevents minimizing or
closing the report window and gaining access to the database program?

In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
